The Lead Coordinators of the proposed United World Colleges (UWC) Short Course "Umoja: Coming Together to Understand Conflict" invited students to register for the course which will take place from June 19th to 28th at the International School Moshi (ISM) in Tanzania. We are happy to inform you that we are now accepting applications for this exciting course, which will bring together participants from all over the world to explore the topic of conflict with a focus on experiential learning, community engagement, local action, and global understanding. We intend to recruit 40 participants aged 16-20 who are eager to learn, passionate about topics relating to peace, conflict, and leadership and who feel a sense of responsibility to improvie their community and the world. The application deadline is Saturday May 26, 2018 at midnight, however later applications maybe considered if spots are still available.

The theme of the course is conflict, and related content will be delivered according to three modules, namely politics, conflict, and leadership. It will include a mixture of on-campus workshops, field trips, community service and work-shopping around the development of a personal project for all participants.
