In order to become a candidate, you must be eligible to stand and submit a set of nomination papers latest by 2 pm on the 18th, April 2019.
Eligibility for nomination: Only parents and legal guardians of a child formally admitted to the school are eligible for nomination. Faculty members and their spouses are not eligible. In addition, potential candidates should have no outstanding financial obligations to the school.
Nomination papers: In order to become a candidate, you must submit the following:
1. Nomination Form
The information that you provide will be circulated to all parents, legal guardians, teachers, and managers of IST. The Nomination Form must be signed by a Proposer and a Seconder who are either parents or legal guardians of IST students or members of the teaching faculty. Proposer and Seconder should have no outstanding financial obligations to the school and can nominate only one candidate per election. Both Proposer and Seconder will have to be present at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 23rd, May 2019.
2. Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form
Board members must be free of conflict of interest. The Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form is designed to identify and disclose potential conflicts. The information on this form is considered confidential information and is solely for Board records and disclosure to external auditors. Release to other external parties will be only when required by law and/or federal regulations.
3. Personal Statement
Personal Statement will be circulated to all parents, legal guardians, teachers, and managers of IST. In your Personal Statement, you present yourself to the school community. You may let the school know who you are and why you think you would be a good Board member. The statement must contain no more than 200 words.
