From the Principal's Desk
The first cross campus event of the year took place on Saturday evening. Ignite featured students from both ES and SS with ensemble and solo performances entertaining a very large crowd under the stars. Well done to Orffestra, Choir, Band and our two ES soloists - Niya and Kilian!
Over 30 Parents attended the Maths workshop on Tuesday led by Nick Opie. It was an excellent presentation with a good follow up discussion. Immediately after the half term break the Parent Workshop is on Child Protection. On Tuesday November 6 there will be a Principal's Coffee where the focus will be After School Activities.

It's a great addition to have a community room on campus. For those of you with EC children who have older children in school please feel free to use the room with your child between 1-1.40pm whilst you wait for school to finish for the older children. A selection of toys and games will be put in the room in due course. The room will be used for EPN meetings, parents workshops as well as being another large meeting space for students/teachers.

From the Library
Mother Tongue Reading During Library Lessons
During International Week, we would like to invite parents to come in to read to their children's homeroom classes in the mother or father tongue. This is a great way to share language and culture with our students. We are so fortunate to attend a school like IST with the enormous amount of diversity that we have. Come share your language with our students. Sign up to visit a library class HERE! We can't wait to have you.
Whole School Mother Tongue Read In
All parents, grandparents, and siblings are invited to join us on the covered court on Monday, October 29, at 7:20 am, for our Mother Tongue Read In. Last year, we had children and parents reading in nearly 30 different languages. Feel free to bring books from home, borrow books from the home language section of the library, or just come to read with your children. It is a magical morning and we look forward to seeing you there!
