From the Principal's Desk

Dear Parents,

For our graduating seniors, tomorrow's graduation ceremony marks the completion of our students' dedication to the IB Diploma course of work. Most of us are aware that the Diploma Program is rigorous and well respected by universities as a path to preparation for further studies. But at this moment, the reward of pursuing the Diploma course is evident on the smiles and sense of jubilation amongst the Class of 2018. They've worked hard and deserve this time to celebrate their achievements. Check out a quick look at the Elementary students cheering for the graduates today:

Last Saturday, IST Secondary hosted the inspiring Arts Out Loud where community members were able to enjoy performances from musicians, dancers and spoken word poets as well as create works of art and participate in workshops. All of this was possible because of a large group of teacher and student volunteers. Thanks to Malina Patel, Gary Hartel, Jonathan Hewitt, Adam Batty, Vanessa Vanek, Catherine Gillis, Innocent Mkuyuli, and Joyce Jaccob for leading this amazing event. It is one of the few all school events that we have. A large group of teacher and student volunteers were on hand to lead workshops, supervise art centers and get work done. Finally, our unbelievable maintenance staff worked tirelessly all day to setup and clean up.

With just over three weeks left in the school year, students are still busy and engaged. Check out these events coming up:
