ISSEA Season 1 Finishes with a BANG!
Congratulations to all of our Student-Athletes and Coaches who represented IST at ISSEA Volleyball and ISSEA Track and Field last weekend.
In Addis Ababa, the Twiga Track and Field teams ran an amazing tournament, broke 6 IST school T&F records, and set an additional 11 records for a race on a 300 meter track. Included in all of these phenomenal runs, jumps and throws were 21 new personal bests for the athletes. Konstantine van Thiel won gold in the Mens 1500 race, and Nola Behnson won silver in the high jump to add to their trophy case as well!
In Maputo, the Volleyball teams had an excellent weekend with the boys going 5-1 and winning the ISSEA Championship Bracket, and the girls going 3-3 and winning the Consolation Bracket. It was an action packed tournament filled with great matches, and nail biting conclusions. Congratulations to the Boys team in winning the first ISSEA Championship in 4 years!
