Seesaw End of School Year Information for Families

If your child is leaving IST, you can download your child's Seesaw journal to take with you. For more information and instructions on how to do this, please follow this link: http://bit.ly/2J0jj7O

Please download before July 1st, when current classes will be archived.

If your child is returning to IST in August, the current class will be archived, and he/she will be connected to a new class for 2018/2019 academic year. Archiving will not delete any content, and families will still have access.

If your child is in Grade 5, I would recommend you download your child's Seesaw journal at the end of this school year (even if he/she is moving to Grade 6 at IST) as Seesaw is currently not used in Secondary School.

If you have any questions, please contact Sarah Hodgson in the Ubunifu Lab

Advance Notice from the EPN/SPN!

Dear IST Parents,

Please save the date of November 2nd, 2018, when we will commemorate IST's 55th Anniversary in an all -school International Day Celebration.

This year the Elementary and Secondary campus students will parade in country groups. If you are traveling to or from your home country, you may want to bring paraphernalia/country clothes or colors for this day, The Parent Networks, for both campuses, are instrumental in organizing this event, and will work with students to make sure this day is memorable. There will be opportunities for parents to get involved through the Parent Network. More information to follow when the new school year begins.

"Our cultural strength has always been derived from our diversity of understanding and experience." -- Yo-Yo Ma (French-Born American Cellist, United Nations Messenger of Peace; b. 1955)

Please contact either the Secondary Parent Network,(spn@istafrica.com) or the Elementary Parent Network,(epn@istafrica.com), should you have any questions regarding International Day. They will respond to you in August when the new school year begins.

On Wednesday we will be saying farewells to students and teachers who are leaving IST this year. We hope that for both children and adults alike they will take away very fond memories of their time in Tanzania. We wish them all the very best on their next adventure wherever that may be around the globe. And for all those coming back in August we wish you a very pleasant 'Summer' break and look forward to another exciting year in Elementary School. School starts on Wednesday August 15.
