The International School of Tanganyika (IST) prides itself on its diversity; with regards to its faculty, there are over 100 teachers from more than 15 countries. Not only does this allow for a student to teacher ratio of 8:1, it also guarantees students a range of teaching techniques and ideas.
Within the student body, of the 424 Elementary students and the 465 Secondary students, there are 66 different nationalities represented. This gives all students the chance to witness different cultures, traditions and languages, an invaluable opportunity.
Below we put a face to the diversity within our school community. We interviewed faculty, parents and students all from different countries with different ethnic backgrounds.
