Facility Use During June/July Break: Pools and Libraries
With the long school break, there are still plenty of options to be at school. Parents can accompany their children to use the pools and libraries. These are great opportunities! Please do come with your school issued ID and note that children under 12 years of age who are swimming need to be accompanied by a responsible adult. There will be an exceptional amount of work being done to the Secondary Facilities during the break, therefore the whole of the Secondary Campus is closed during the break with the exception of the Secondary pool hours noted below.

Secondary Gym: Community Use
From now, the gym in the upstairs of the MPH on Secondary Campus will only be accessible during community hours by a key which can be collected from KK Security at the front gate. This is consistent with how the swimming pool key can also be collected and hopefully stops and unwanted damage to the facilities.

News from Grade 2
You may recall that back in October all Grade 2 classes visited the deaf unit at Mtendeni School. From this visit, the school requested help from IST for supplies and equipment. IST supported by donating 3 unused computers and 30 unused tables & chairs. The students in Grade 2, took action by organising a bake sale to fund the purchase of a printer, and a grand total of Tsh 1,463,250.00 was raised. Some of this money was used to make custom-made grills to create a secure classroom, that will house all the computers, and the remaining funds were used to buy a new printer. On Tuesday this week, a few children, randomly chosen from each class, visited the school again to officially handover all the donations. We would like to thank the parents of Grade 2 for their support in making this project possible as well the IST Community.
