Arts Out Loud is Here! Saturday, May 12th, 11am to 4pm

Annual General Meeting: May 24th
IST's Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Thursday, May 24th 2018 beginning at 7.00 pm in the Secondary Campus Multi-Purpose Hall. For important information regarding this year's AGM, including the agenda, candidates' statements, proxy forms, draft minutes from last year's AGM as well as the Annual Report for 2017-18, please see the email that was sent on May 10th. All parents of students enrolled at IST as well as all teachers are warmly invited and encouraged to attend the AGM.

Teen Girls Organization (TGO): Career Fair at IST Secondary
On Saturday, 28th April, IST's Teen Girls Organization (TGO) hosted their annual Career Fair with about a hundred students from local schools and guest speakers representing careers ranging from medicine to library and finance management. In addition to the Career Fair, the group also held a Women's Health Day event in September. Other long-term projects under consideration include providing a scholarship opportunity to attend university and donating computers to a high school.

Secondary Campus: Upcoming Weekend Facilities Closures
Good afternoon, parents. With the end of the year coming, we have lots of communities renting out portions of our athletic facilities on the weekend. From the Principal's Desk
The buzz on campus this week is over Arts Out Loud (AOL). This is one of the few all campus events that we have at IST so I hope that students, parents and faculty will turn out to participate. Thanks Ms. Patel and the Arts team for organizing this important event. We also have the After School Activities Celebration on campus today at 3:30 pm on the covered court. Graduation Ceremony for Class of 2018: Live Stream
The ceremony honouring the achievements and milestone for the Class of 2018 will be live streamed for those who are not able to attend in person. News from the Secondary School Library
The Secondary Library is getting a new roof! Which means the library staff have to clear the library of EVERYTHING by the last day of school. Apologies in advance, as this means the library space and resources will be closed to students, teachers, and parents as of May 25th.

IST Clinic Notice: Malaria and Dengue fever & Yellow Fever Vaccine Center
Recently, there has been an increased number of Malaria and Dengue cases in Dar Es Salaam. At IST, we follow a regular fumigation schedule, but mosquitoes are still present on school campus. During this time, we would recommend that students take precautions to prevent being bitten as much as possible (use repellent, long clothing, etc).
