Test of Emergency Text Message (SMS) System
IST will be testing the emergency text messaging (SMS) system on Wednesday morning (April 18th). If you do not receive the test message on your phone by 11 am, please follow the link below to find out whom to contact to have your phone number updated in the school records.

Third Culture Kids Resources

Elementary News

From the Principal's Desk
This week the Elementary Campus is busy with activity, with some of the highlights being this morning's assembly featuring a visit from the Secondary senior band. In addition, there is the upcoming Grade 5 final exhibition, IST's Got Talent and information about Class Placements for 2018/19 School Year. Also features advance notices for coming weeks. Grade 5 Final Exhibition Biathlon
Three of our Grade 5 students for their final exhibition are organizing a Biathlon to raise money to sponsor a sports day to a local school. Please follow link below to read more details. Grade 4 and 5 students and adults of all ages are invited to sign up for the Biathlon!

Additional Languages at IST Elementary
Mike Mansell, IST Elementary PYP Coordinator, provides a great presentation on the importance of learning additional languages and IST's programme in additional languages. Mike presented this information to parents at the workshop help last Tuesday. In case you missed it, check it out here.

Parent Workshop on Digital Citizenship
Do you have burning questions about your kids and technology? Sarah Hodgson (Technology Integration Coach and Educator) and Carole Kessler (Elementary School Counselor) will explain the role of technology at school and how to help your child successfully navigate technology at home (Screen time, appropriate limits, safety, social media) You won't want to miss it!


Secondary News

From the Principal's Desk
This week we have students in Uganda for ISSEA football and in Ethiopia for ISSEA STEM. Both groups have the opportunity to compete and make new friends from around the region. Tomorrow, our MUN students are hosting and participating in the 8th annual DARMUN conference. They will be working on developing solutions to extremely challenging problems. Blair provides information about various events happening this week and details about how IST goes 100% BYOL. Don't miss the full report in the below link.

Invitation to the 2018 Personal Project Exhibition
While the personal project may be over, the celebration is about to begin. Our students are very eager to share their projects with the IST community. Please join them and help celebrate their success at the end of this journey. You are all cordially invited to the 2018 Personal Project Exhibition. Wednesday, April 18th from 2-4pm with the official exhibition running from Thursday, April 19th from 4-5:30pm in the Secondary MPH.

Middle School Only Movie Night: The Greatest Showman
Middle School Only: Save the Date, April 13th Power to the Pen, a Take Action Tuesday group, is hosting a movie night for Middle School students to raise funds for a local boarding school. Power to the Pen will be hosting the Middle School movie night showing The Greatest Showman! It will be super comfortable with plenty of food and bean bags for everyone.
