Mark your calendar, the next Board Meeting will be held on March 15th and the Board Open Forum will be held on April 11th.

IST Swimmers at the TALISS Invitational Championships
On February 24th and 25th, many IST students swam in the TALISS Invitational Championships with 12 teams represented, 243 athletes, 1478 entries, and 37 new records set. Our swimmers continue to show improvements based on their dedication and hard work. Congratulations to all of you! Follow link to read more.

Invitation to Talk on Transitions and Third Culture Kids
Parents are warmly invited to attend a presentation by Tanya Crossman, author of Misunderstood, who will be giving a talk on transitions (moving to other schools and countries), helping children process the grief of transition, and preparing for a new place and new people for our Third Culture Kids. From the Elementary Principal's Desk
This week, Tony talks about TALISS Swim Gala week which took place last weekend. He also talks about the Grade 2AM and 2AA who presented in Assembly this morning their Scientific Process and Simple Machines. The children performed exceptionally well. He also highlights important events such as mother tongue week, Dubai sporting exchange, book swap and parents workshops and shares the calendar of events.

Blair shares news about the celebration of culture and language of Tanzania that was observed this week. He also highlights the upcoming Theory of Knowledge course on March 5th where Parents will have the chance to experience TOK. SPN Meeting: March 7th at 7:30am, Room C10
All parents of Secondary students are warmly invited to join us for a light breakfast as SPN will hold it's first meeting of 2018 on March 7th at 7:30 in the parents Lounge room C10. Please join us for an open discussion and presentation from the Food Lovers canteen and the school nurse. Blair Peterson, will also give an update. All parents are welcome. Also Chapati Friday will be back on March 16th. Hope to see students and teachers there!!

Class of 2018 Art Exhibition
There will be Visual Art with Design Technology Class of 2018 Exhibition Opening from 2 – 5 PM Wed March 14th in Room B4 at IST Secondary. The exhibition is also open for viewing on Thursday 15th & Friday 16th all day. Follow link for more.

Save the Date: Grade 12 Student/Parent/Teacher Conferences
Grade 12 Parents - a reminder that the final Grade 12 Parent/Student/Teacher conferences are coming soon - Wednesday, March 14th from 2:00-4:00pm. Your Senior should attend with you, as this is an opportunity for the team (Teacher, Parent and Student) to discuss final steps in preparing for the end of year exams. Teachers can be found in their regular classes - a list of which has been provided below. We look forward to seeing you on March 14th. Follow link below for more information.
