2018 Graduates Continue the Tradition of Excellence at IB Exams

International School of Tanganyika students have once again demonstrated academic excellence in the most recent IB Diploma Programme Examinations.  Graduates completing the IB Diploma scored an average of 34 points, which is 4 points above the global average. This follows our continued tradition of excellence, as IST has a long history of consistently scoring above the world average in this distinguished International programme.

We’re proud of our graduates, many of who have now matriculated into prominent universities around the world.  IST’s strong reputation and college counseling programmes help our graduates to access a number of different universities including prominent institutions such as the University of Edinburgh, University of Toronto, New York University, Loyola University - Chicago, Purdue University, McGill, the London School of Economics, and the University of Warwick.

The International Baccalaureate system (IB) provides exceptional opportunities for IST students to engage in a rigorous, well rounded educational programme. The IB promotes the teaching of essential technical skills to the learner, developing an affinity for lifelong learning, and ensures a smooth transition into college and adult life. We are exceptionally proud of the accomplishments of the Class of 2018 and excited to hear about their future achievements as IST Alumni around the world.
