Diploma Programme Results Summary

Excellent DP Results

Students from IST’s Class of 2018 achieved excellent results in their IB Diploma exams.

  • The average points score for our students was 34 (out of the maximum possible 45), compared with the worldwide average of 30 points.
  • The highest total points score achieved by an IST student this year was 42, from a maximum of 45.
  • 92% of the 79-student year group took the full IB Diploma, reflecting our encouraging approach – we want as many of our students as possible to aim for the full IB Diploma.

Over the past few years, more and more students at IST are opting for the full Diploma Programme with an impressively high percentage of IST students passing. The IB Diploma Programme (IB DP) is academically rigorous and we are proud to support an increasing number of students to take up the challenge of the IB DP.
