Elementary Parking Lot Accessed through Gate 5

Several parents may recall that the Elementary / Administration Parking Lot accessed through Gate 5 off of Mindu Street once served as a drop off/pick up point for students in the same manner as that used currently through Gate 8. The Drop Off / Pick Up system accessed through Gate 5 will resume on Wednesday, March 1st when classes reconvene after the school break.

Elementary Parking Lot Accessed through Gate 5

Several parents may recall that the Elementary / Administration Parking Lot accessed through Gate 5 off of Mindu Street once served as a drop off/pick up point for students in the same manner as that used currently through Gate 8. hile there is still some work being done in the area around the parking lot, beginning next Friday (February 10th) we are ready to resume using the access point for families who wish to drive through to drop off their child(ren) in the mornings or pick them up at the end of the school day. We would like to thank Elementary parents for their interest in our new math program and for their support shown during the workshop held on January 31st. Mastery of math skills is an integral part of our new math philosophy at IST Elementary.

Performance Dates: Thursday, 9th February at 6:00pm Friday, 10th February at 6:00pm; Saturday, 11th February at 3:00pm .Tickets are available for purchase from the Elementary front office from Wednesday, 1st February. Next week, the annual community survey will be sent out to students, teachers, teacher assistants, and parents. One goal for our community is for us to reduce IST's environmental impact. IST's size and relative wealth means that the IST community has a considerable environmental impact in Msasani and Upanga. The workshop will be presented by Mike Mansell, PYP Coordinator, and Glenn Davies, Elementary Vice Principal. The workshop will be held from 7:15 am to 8:00 am in the Elementary Staffroom. Karibuni!

Personal Project: Raising Money for Blind Children by Anmol Athwal

Anmol Athwal's Personal Project is to raise money for the blind children at Uhuru Mchanganyiko Primary School. She will be doing that by having an event at the Elementary Campus. Please join her to realise her goal for the personal project and help the students at Uhuru Mchanganyiko Primary School. The event will be held on January 29th from 3 to 5pm.
