Richard Wainwright

Grade 3

I’ve been a primary school teacher since 1998. I’ve taught both Grade 3 and Grade 4 at IST since 2004. I also enjoy coaching the 8 and 9 year olds’ football team as an after school activity.

I’ve worked in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for four years – 3 years at Sandford International School which included roles as Key Stage Two and Maths Coordinators and a year at the International Community School before we moved to Dar es Salaam.

I started my teaching career in a multi-cultural school in north London after graduating from the University of North London.

My wife, Colleen, works as a Development Specialist at the Embassy of Ireland and we have two children. I’m a passionate Leeds United Supporter and am always on the look out for fellow supporters (unfortunately, usually to commiserate with…)!
