Nazir Thawer

General Manager Finance & Administration

I have been working with IST since 2003 in the capacity of the General Manager Finance & Administration. Though I joined the school in 2003, I have been associated with IST since 2001 when my first born daughter joined the Early Childhood Campus (now part of the Elementary School). My job primarily involves overseeing the finance and support services function. Though I focus on non-educational activities, I work closely with the administrative team at the school to ensure that they have the necessary resources to continue providing quality educational program so that each student at IST has a successful educational experience.

I am a Tanzanian and hold a professional accounting qualification; Certified Public Accountant, conferred by the National Board of Accountants & Auditors, Tanzania - and an MBA (Finance) from the University of Stirling, Scotland, UK. I enjoy my role of being a partner with all the educators to be able to make a real impact in the lives of children we serve.
