Alexandra Roosenburg
Grade 5
I was born in Virginia, in the United States, a first generation American from two Dutch parents. I grew up speaking both Dutch and English, and have since added French and Italian to the list. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in French literature and language as well as a Master’s degree in Teaching Elementary, with a specialization in integrating technology into classrooms. I have spent my whole life in an international setting, going back to Holland to visit relatives as well as traveling to new places during school breaks. I studied abroad in Cannes, France during University, lived in the British Virgin Islands during two summers, and spent the past two years teaching at The American School in Switzerland, in Lugano, Switzerland. I love to be outdoors and to travel and discover new cultures and places, and I look forward to applying this to my experiences in and out of the classroom here at IST!
