Tamara Peterson

ESL/Elementary Spanish

I was born in Colorado, USA and have studied and traveled in Spain, Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Puerto Rico and enjoy sharing my passion for learning language with my students. I have also visited many countries in Southeast Asia where I spent three years teaching in my first overseas position at the International School Yangon in Myanmar. I have taught since 1995 at all levels in schools in both Colorado and Myanmar. I have also worked with elementary English language learners while integrating K-5 curriculum and taught secondary United States and World History courses. I have also coached volleyball, softball and been a director for Model United Nations (MUN). I feel that ‘variety is the spice of life’ and am anxious to be involved in the community, take advantage of the wonderful outdoors, and continue expanding my international learning.
