Peters, MMelodee Peters

Middle Years Programme Coordinator – English Teacher

IST is my first “overseas” job. I had worked in education in Namibia, my home country, since 1992. I was involved in developing the national curriculum for English and this provided me with valuable experience that I draw on as coordinator today. In 1998, I got the ESL position at Windhoek International School. That’s how I discovered the world of International schools. I arrived in Tanzania on 10 August 2002 to take on a position in the Student Services department. I now teach English. I hold a BA degree and a BEd Honours degree with specialisation in Special Educational Needs. I have a teaching diploma from the University of Port Elizabeth and another in English Language Teaching and Administration from the University of Warwick.
