Seyi Onabanjo

Oluseyi (Seyi) Onabanjo is originally from Nigeria and moved to Dar es Salaam in August 2008 due to his wife’s appointment with UNFPA in Tanzania.  Julitta and Seyi have a daughter and son at the IST upper school and they will be in grades 11 and 7 respectively for the 2009/2010 school year. An Electrical Engineering graduate from the University of Lagos in Nigeria, Seyi has an MBA from the Columbia Business School in New York and currently works as a project management consultant.
Seyi worked for the German multinational company, SIEMENS for a brief period and then spent fifteen years working with the global value added network services provider, SITA / EQUANT in several West, East and Southern African countries. Seyi has also been part of two technology startups, developing business continuity solutions and power solutions for the telecommunications industry in West Africa as well as in South East Asia.  Seyi hopes to bring his usual enthusiasm, project management and team building skills to bear during his period of service with the IST Board.
