Cameron McHale

PE - Athletics Coordinator

I grew up in Rotorua, New Zealand, which was just around the corner from where Hobbiton was filmed in Lord of the Rings. I lived and breathed sport, from rugby and volleyball to rock-climbing and snowboarding. As a result I went to Otago University to obtain a Bachelor of Physical Education and picked up a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Marketing Management) as well to keep my horizons open. From there I travelled off and on for several years, settling in London where I managed a gym for one year. I started teaching at a Preparatory school in London and taught from EC2 to Grade 8 for two years, which exposed me to the very fulfilling life of PE teaching. I returned to New Zealand to get a Post-Graduate Diploma in Teaching and taught at a High School for 2 years. I also taught Business Studies, Social Studies and Health whilst there and really learned how the classroom operates. I enjoy teaching internationally and sharing my love of sport and activity with as many as I can.
