Lawson, JJill Lawson

Grade 1

Originally from Edinburgh, Scotland, I qualified as a primary teacher at Aberdeen University in 1998. After working in my home town for 2 years, I later moved to London where I worked for 6 years. It was there that I experienced a school very similar to IST. A broad curriculum with specialist teachers, a strong team ethos and lots of opportunity for fun in and outside the classroom. After this, in 2006, I decided to pursue my dream of living and working in New Zealand. My love of the outdoors was rekindled with skiing, biking, swimming and running in beautiful forests and lakes not unlike Scotland. However, I spent only the following year in Rotorua before accepting a position here in Tanzania. I am sure I can live many other dreams here and I am excited to be allowed this amazing experience.
