I am originally from the UK. I grew up as an ‘East end gal’ in London. As a child I knew that teaching would become a passion that I wanted to fulfil one day. By1999 I successfully completed a B.A. with Honors in Education at Middlesex University. I taught in primary schools in London for five years and then decided to join the international circuit. I didn’t quite bargain for the hurricanes that I experienced in the Bahamas, but I certainly enjoyed my time at St Andrews International School in Nassau. After three years of teaching the Primary Years Programme at the Elementary School, I continued the trend for warm temperatures and came to IS T in 2002 and haven’t looked back since! It’s not just the climate that is warm here, but the people are too. The students are enthusiastic, caring and a joy to teach.
