General Information

What Are Parent Networks?

Essentially parent networks are information and support groups for the parents by the parents. Both SPNs and EPNs work with the Principal, Board, Administration and faculty.

These parent networks help enhance the overall social integration, emotional well-being and academic success of your children both inside and outside the classroom through strong and collaborative student-school-family relationships.

Both the SPN and the EPN are responsible for establishing the link between parents and teachers and help parents figure out who to contact or where to go. They are also the ones responsible for supporting new families.

“We introduce the new families to more parents, and help them settle in,” van Rensburg said. “[We answer all] questions, from where to buy fruit, to which system they should use to check their children's homework.”
