By clicking on this icon, you will have the choice of searching the individual databases listed below, or using the Student Resource Center, an interface for high school students through which you can search allof Ebsco’s databases, rather than just a single database.

  • Topic Search: current events database allows researchers to explore social, political & economic issues, scientific discoveries and other popular topics discussed in today's classrooms including controversial opinions and viewpoints.
  • MagillOnLiterature Plus: approximately 35,000 critical analyses of individual works of literature, 6,500 biographical records, more than 1,000 images, and a glossary of 1,310 literary terms.
  JSTOR (Please contact the librarian for the username and password) JSTOR maintains a high-quality, interdisciplinary archive with articles from over 1,000 of the highest-quality academic journals across the humanities, social sciences and sciences. It is a good resource for Extended Essays and other papers required by the IB Diploma Program.

IST students and faculty can also access Aluka, JSTOR's digital library of resources from and about Africa. Aluka, in turn, is comprised of three collections: African Cultural Heritage Sites and Landscapes, African Plants and Struggles for Freedom in Southern Africa. They can all be accessed from the Aluka homepage. The username and password are the same as for JSTOR.
