There are quite a few restaurants in Tanzania. They vary from Tanzanian restaurants to Chinese restaurants. Below is a selection of the ones popular with students, though these are not by any means the only ones!

Debonairs is Dar’s most well-known pizza parlor. You can have your pizza delivered, you can pick it up there, or you can eat it there. There is cheese pizza, chicken pizza, veggie pizza and much more.

The restaurant, which is connected to Debonairs, is called Steers. Steers is a South African version of McDonald’s. You have a choice of fast food, Chinese food and Indian food. This restaurant is highly recommended if you like fast food.

Anghiti is an Indian restaurant. You can have a variety of tasty sub-continental food.

Yangtze restaurant is a Chinese restaurant. You can order different Chinese foods made especially for you.

Café Glacier is the most visited restaurant because of its fabulous ice-cream varieties. You can also choose from pizzas and hot subs. It is located on Haile Selassie road (same road as IST)

Subway is a sandwich shop. It is very well known for its delicious sandwiches. You can get turkey breast, meatballs and all types of sandwiches.

Jan's Trattoria is an Italian pizza place. It has very good pizzas and pastas.

Shooters is a barbeque steak place. You can order from different types of meat.
