WHAT TO DO FOR FUN IN DAR

Are you bored? Are you so bored you are willing to do anything for a little fun?? ANYTHING?? Students have been complaining that there’s nothing to do in Dar. But is that really true? I don’t think so…

Elementary school students:

• Hangout at The Slipway
• Birthday Parties
• Sleepover Parties
• Snorkelling
• Bowling at Sea Cliff
• Swimming at Water World and Wet ‘n’ Wild

These students don’t like to go out as much, but don’t mind going to exciting places such as The Slipway where they ride the bikes, scooters, skateboards and roller blades. The students even enjoy popcorn and ice cream. Parties are even things elementary students go to every week where the can socialize and play fun games. Bowling at Sea Cliff and swimming at Wet ‘n’ Wild and Water World are two really fun things to do that are enjoyed by elementary students. Malika, a 5th grade student says, "I like to stay at home and watch TV, and go to my friends' houses.”

Middle school students:

• Hanging out at The Slipway (at night)
• Going to beaches
• Having parties
• Going to Yacht Club
• Going to Café Glaciers
• Going to The Sea Cliff Hotel (bowling)
• Going to restaurants

Middle school students like to socialize a lot and hang out with their friends. This is the stuff they mainly do when they go out. Jamal Abdullah, a grade seven student comments: “Going to the beach to surf and chill for the day, then going to The Slipway for the night and chilingl with my homies and EAT!”.

High school students:

• Hanging out at The Slipway
• Going to restaurants to eat and hangout with friends
• Going to the beaches (Bongoyo)
• Snorkelling and Scuba diving
• Parties
• Bowling at Sea Cliff
• Wet ‘n’ Wild

On the other hand high school students are similar to middle school. Both of them enjoy hanging out at The Slipway to eat and socialize. Middle school students usually don’t go to Billiards as high school student do. Middle school students prefer going to restaurants with their families. Basically these are the places High School students mostly hangout.
