Secondary school uniform

Students in Grade 6 to 10 are expected to wear the school uniform to school every day. The uniform is to be worn at all regularly scheduled class times, during homeroom registration (even if P.E. class occurs first period), and on school field trips unless otherwise directed by the supervising teacher. Please note that students who arrive at school without the correct uniform may be sent home to change. Hats or baseball caps may not be worn in classrooms. Students are expected to dress cleanly and smartly as befits a member of the school community and so as not to give offence to others.

The school uniform is described as follows:

Grades 6 – 10

Boys: white or light blue "polo" shirt with collar and IST logo on the left breast pocket, navy blue shorts or long trousers.

Girls: white or light blue "polo" shirt with collar and IST logo on the left breast pocket (long sleeves are permissible) and navy blue skirt (ankle or knee length), culottes, shorts, or trousers. Skirts and shorts should be of an acceptable length.

P.E.: House T-shirts and navy blue shorts for both boys and girls. Gym shoes and socks. House T-shirts should be bought from the P.E. Faculty.

Grades 11 – 12

Students in Grades 11 and 12 are not required to wear uniform but are expected to dress smartly.

Please note that students in any Grade who are inappropriately dressed will be sent home.
