Guidelines:

Skirts/Shorts

A variety of styles are accepted but cultural diversity and respect determines the length of skirts and shorts. Skirts may go to the top of the knee when standing; shorts or ‘skorts’ may be mid thigh (five cm below fingertips when standing)

Socks

Plain white or navy blue or none

Shoes

Footwear should be safe, secure and appropriate for all school activities. No flip flops are allowed in the Elementary School, and for safety reasons we strongly advise against students wearing open toe sandals to school.

Headscarves

White, navy blue or black headscarves. No bandanas.

PE UNIFORMS

The grey P.E shirt and navy blue shorts, plus appropriate trainers/sneakers for physical education must be worn. No students will be allowed to undertake PE lessons in their normal school uniform. Similarly, suitable sports clothing must be worn for Activities and not normal, everyday school uniform.

SWIMMING COSTUMES

Students are allowed to bring their own swimming costumes for swimming lessons. The school provides costumes only when there is a competition among the students or among other schools.

FREE DRESS

Students do not have to wear school uniforms on Fridays. They should dress smartly for school, in practical clothes. Make up and jewellery should not be worn
