Art Overview

In the Art lessons from Ecc One up to Grade Five we concentrate on the development of artistic skills. We focus on drawing and painting skills, together with clay, textile, printing and creating art with found objects. The Art lessons are often integrated into the classes Units of Inquiry. Art skills are being developed gradually.

During the year, local and foreign artists are introduced during Art workshops like AIR (Artist In Residence). When students perform in a school play, the backgrounds and props are created by the Art department. The students also go on Art field trips and are being introduced to Art History.
