IST hosted an exciting weekend of sport for elementary schools from Moshi, Arusha, Tanga, Morogoro and Dar es Salaam. The morning saw all the excitement at the pool. After a hard fought gala IST came away with wins in the both the junior and senior division, making the most of home pool advantage. In the afternoon the attention turned to the football field and with three games going on at the same time the atmosphere was fantastic. In the round robin tournament, the boy’s championship went down to the very last game, with the winner of the IST versus Arusha match set to take the trophy. A stunning 6-2 win saw the trophy remain in Dar es Salaam. The girl’s competition was equally exciting and a combined team from Morogoro and Tanga sweeping all before them. The IST girl’s team played brilliantly to finish in second place out of six teams. Amazingly after all this, the children still had the energy to party into the night.
