ISSEA Basketball 2006

The 2006 ISSEA Basketball Championship in Harare has now reached its end. IST boys placed third losing to Harare International School in one semi-final but beating International School Kenya to take third place. The girls fought hard with a very young team but this time did not make the top three. We had one Grade nine student Rose Marie Larsen selected for the all-tournament girls team and two boys, Chad Johnson (G11) and Dane Rustad (G12) selected for the all-tournament boys team, congratulations to them. The American International School Johannesburg were the 2006 Boys Champions and the International Community School from Ethiopia the 2006 Girls Champions.
A huge thanks to Daryl Rustad and Bahati Mgunda for the endless hours of work they have put in this year to prepare the teams for the tournament.
