Outdoor education

The importance of outdoor education, both within, and in addition to, the curriculum is recognised at IST. Throughout the year and across the school there is always some activity that takes advantage of Tanzania's rich diversity.

Climbing Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru

A team of students at the secondary school is selected every year for each of the two mountain climbing expeditions the school has to offer – the March expedition to Mount Kilimanjaro, and the May trek on the slopes of Mount Meru.

The extended studies programme (ESP week)

Mikumi Field Trips (Grade 5)

Grade 5 students visit Mikumi National park and surrounding areas

Bagamoyo (Grade 4)
