Meru Climb 2007

From May 20th to May 25th 2007, a group of hardy 7th and 8th graders climbed up the slopes of Mt. Meru and all made it to Rhino Point (3820 m) for a breaktaking sunrise over Mt. Kilimanjaro. The group spent three nights on the mountain staying in huts. The trip included a walk through Arusha National park where hikers saw plenty of buffalo and twigas along the way. The weather held out and the rain gear luckily stayed in the backpacks where it belongs. A very succcessful climb!
