Grade 9 and 10 ESP: PADI Dive Course

Sixteen 9th and 10th grade students travelled to Kendwa, Zanzibar; arriving a little late due to divine intervention. However, the pasta was delicious that first night. We had a good time learning to dive by diving and whining over vintage instructional videos. After taking a strenuous multiple choice exam which included distinguishing the symbol for ‘share air’ from ‘I’m hungry’ (very difficult indeed), we went to the beautiful reefs of Mwana wa Mwana and watched all kinds of cool fish while wearing not-so-cool wetsuits, as you can see in the photo gallery on the website or network. Everyone misses Jacko – not the dive instructor, but the dive instructors’ dog.
