Poetry Week 2006

Poetry Week at the Elementary School was an opportunity for everyone to read, write and learn about poetry. Throughout the week poems were created, read and enjoyed. It culminated with a Poetry Night on Family Reading Night

There were many fun activities for children and parents to do. Lines were added by individuals and classes to create the Never –Ending Poem. Everyone read a poem and added a footstep in the race to reach the Library Poetry shelf by the end of the week. Prizes were awarded for the best poems and the Poetry quiz.
