Grade 10 Personal Project Evening 2006

On Wednesday evening, the 1st of February, the Grade 10 MYP Personal Projects displayed their projects in the Secondary School library. This is the culmination of 6 months of intense and focussed work. The opening was attended mostly by grade 10 students and their parents. The display remained open to parents, students and teachers on Thursday the 2nd and Friday the 3rd.

From the photos, you can see that once again our students are strong critical and creative thinkers. Projects ranged from the very creative (such as the wax sculpture, the cultural kanga, the framed mirror, the timeline, the model hut) to the critical (such as the solar cooker, the sponsorship booklet, the obesity pamphlet, cigarette smoking in Dar). Students were encouraged to engage fully in creative, critical and reflective thinking throughout the process.

Congratulations to the grade 10 students, their parents and their supervisors for surviving it all!
