Students concentrate on their story

Painted Words

Painted Words celebrated books, reading and writing. This was a joint venture between the Art Department, Library and IST Community Service. All children wrote stories which they illustrated with visiting artists. Various activities were organized during this period. Stories under the Tree, Book Swap and Guessing the Teacher’s Favourite Book were among the most popular activities. This culminated into a grand exhibition of 150 illustrated books and an appreciation assembly. The reading and writing celebration continued with SOMA where schools, which are a part of the IST Community Service, participated in drama, poetry recitation and story sharing. All these events were charged by the enormous enthusiasm of the students, teachers and parents.
