Hope Polio School

Every week the Hope School Project invites children suffering from polio to come to I.S.T., where various activities are organized for their enjoyment and education at the same time. Some of the children are have fun in the multi-gym on a regular basis, while others take part in English classes led by I.S.T. students. Some let their creative juices flow and discover their hidden talents in the Art room. Occasionally, we plan parties, and currently we want to plan a beach trip. Hope Polio's current dedication was to the Salvation Army School where they were engaged in re-painting the dormitories.

Student Insight:

"We have come to understand the children better and no longer focus on their disabilities, which at first evoked pity. However these children look above and beyond their problems, and they don't expect pity, just our friendship and some fun. We give them all we can."
